The Special Advisory Group

refers to the International Centre of Martial Arts for Youth Development and Engagement under the auspices of UNESCO (hereinafter referred to as “UNESCO ICM”)’s pool of experts with expertise in fields that have relevance with, but not limited to,

      「Martial Arts」    「Youth」     「Women」      「Sports」

Selected candidates are appointed as member of the Special Advisory Group (hereinafter referred to as “Special Advisor”) throughout the year.

  • 1. Periodic Sessions
    UNESCO ICM may organize a team of experts every year to be part of an Editorial Advisory Group who shall participate in periodic advisement sessions three times a year(subject to change) to receive consultation on ICM’s periodicals.
  • 2. Non-Periodic Sessions
    In cases when UNESCO ICM is in need of support and cooperation regarding a project implementation, i.e. Martial Arts Open School, International Youth Martial Arts Camp, forums and seminars, UNESCO ICM may request non-periodic advisement about a specific topic.
  • 3. Collection & Sharing Materials
    In order to contribute to the “distribution and publishment of periodical information including electronic bulletins,” Special Advisors will be asked to additionally collect and share materials based on areas of expertise, in forms such as writings, photos, and videos.
